Halloween 2006

First off, I’d like to wish you a very happy Halloween. I’m not really sure what makes holidays feel different from any other day (other than the excitement of the imminent excuse to throw a party), but today I woke early to a beautiful morning. The clouds overhead threaten to rain, but for now, the weather is perfect.

Nanowrimo begins tomorrow, and that really scares me. It doesn’t scare me because I don’t have a clue what to write; it scares me because I don’t have a clue if I can write what I have. I’ve been working on the plot line of this fantasy novel for the past two years, and the chance to see it blossom into an actual novel is such an excitement for me; however, the chance to see me fail at writing it is something that I am not pleased about.

From this point on, I will use I, Revolutionary as a temporary writing journal, bringing you updates on the progress of my novel. I really hope you will cheer me on and comment on the little snippets and excerpts of my work in progress.

Happy Halloween.
